1. How do we hire you and how does the process work?

Hiring me to write for you is easy. Here’s how it works:

• Once you’ve decided to work with me, give me a call or send an e-mail letting me know.
• Next, we’ll set up a time to talk on the phone to discuss your project in detail.
• I will e-mail you a proposal with a plan to implement and letter of agreement for you to sign, date and send back to me with a deposit for the project.
• Next, I’ll have you send me all available background information on your business, product or service. The info includes your promotional materials such as brochures, press releases, direct mail and press kits).
• After reviewing your materials and doing an interview with you, I’ll start working on your project. If I have any additional questions, I’ll email you or give you a call.
• I will submit a draft of the press release, website copy, or other agreed upon work and submit it to you for your approval.
• Once you approve the draft, I will rewrite and edit the first draft. In a jiffy, you will have the final polished draft on or before the agreed upon deadline.

2. What about revisions?

If you have any changes, no problem. Go ahead and call me or send an e-mail. I will provide up to 2 revisions free of charge.

3. What kind of background information should I send you concerning my product or service?

The more information you provide, the better. I often do research on your topics and industry. Detailed information from you empowers me to write accurate, factual and compelling copy with a faster turnaround.

Background information includes:

• Bio, website copy
• Brochures
• Catalogs
• Article reprints
• Press kits
• Your competitors website info and literature
• Previous sales letters and direct mail
• Email announcements to customers and prospects
• Ezines and newsletters
• Press releases

4. How long will it take you to write my copy?

Ideally, I like to have a couple of weeks to complete your project. If we are working together on a monthly basis for six months or so, then I will have established a schedule with you. Sometimes, however, I know that you may need a project completed in a hurry.   I will try to work around your needs and schedule. If you have a tight deadline, just let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate you!  Note: there may be an additional charge for Rush Rush projects with quick turnarounds.

5. What types of projects do you handle?

As a freelance writer, I handle a wide variety of projects including:

• Direct mail
• Books and ebooks
• Sales letters
• Web copy
• Newsletters
• Articles
• Press Releases and Press Kits
• E-mail newsletters and Ezines
• Blogs
• Hub pages, Squidoo Lenses and more!

6. Do you work locally or nationwide?

I work nationwide and internationally. Wireless Internet, Skype and other modern computer technology enables me to work productively and efficiently with clients who are located next door, across the nation or in another country.

7. How do you charge, by the hour or per project?

I have found that charging by the project is much more cost effective for my clients. It enables you to know exactly what the project will cost. You can budget accordingly and not have to worry about hidden expenses or extra billable hours.

8. Do you handle the design as well, or do you just write the copy?

Not usually, unless it is quick and simple, such as designing an email newsletter or pitch to the media. I can usually refer you to a graphic designer or website designer associate. I am not a graphic designer.

9. What is the best way to contact you?

The best way to contact me is through e-mail or phone.  You can email me anytime at celiasue.hecht@gmail.com or prmatchmaker@yahoo.com.

10. How much do you charge?

If you would like a copy of my fee schedule, please email me at celiasue.hecht@gmail.com.

11. Do you send press releases to the media and do you guarantee results?

Included in our agreement (whether we are working on a retainer basis or a one time project), I generally include creating a customized media contact list for you, sending out the press release to these contacts, following up with them, coordinating interviews as well as obtaining tear sheets and links.

No one can guarantee media placement except for the media (and even then, things can change). According to the PRSA Code of Ethics, one cannot guarantee specific results.

12. What type of books do you Ghostwrite and Edit?

Non-fiction, Life stories, Business expertise, Pet memoirs, and others

13. My company would like to send out Email Newsletters that look professional, can you do that?

Yes, I can. The Email Newsletters can even have photos (jpegs) embedded with the copy. I can even send the Email Newsletters out to your lists of contacts. Go ahead and ask me how. We can also do multiple campaigns a day, a week, a month, a year, on a regular basis, whatever you want.
